Information about the ScreenMinutes pilot, service limitations and responsible use.
1. About ScreenMinutes
ScreenMinutes is operated by Kai Eysselein based at No 9 Love Street, Windoek NAMIBIA. Questions about this disclaimer can be sent to [email protected].
ScreenMinutes is being developed to help households manage internet access and screen time. The current service is a development/pilot environment. Some features described on the website are planned or undergoing testing and may not yet be available. Household permission workflows and end-to-end gateway enforcement are not yet complete.
2. Service limitations
ScreenMinutes depends on compatible routers, network configuration, internet connectivity and third-party services. Availability and behaviour can vary between devices and networks. Maintenance, faults, delayed reports, configuration changes or alternative connections may interrupt service or affect the accuracy of controls.
Do not rely on the current pilot as a guaranteed way to block internet access, enforce time limits, prevent bypasses or keep a child safe online. Before relying on a particular function, confirm that it is available and test it on your own authorised network and devices.
Dashboard figures are operational indicators. A valid website sign-in does not mean someone is currently online. Network session information comes from router reports and may be delayed or incomplete. Alerts identify the conditions checked by the dashboard; an absence of alerts does not certify that every part of the system is healthy or secure.
3. Responsible use
Use ScreenMinutes only for accounts, networks and devices you are authorised to manage. Explain relevant controls and data collection to the people affected, in a way they can understand. Respect their privacy, applicable law and any limits on your authority.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for age-appropriate supervision, discussion and safeguarding. ScreenMinutes does not replace those responsibilities, professional advice, emergency services or other safety measures. Do not use the service for unlawful surveillance or to restrict someone else's access without appropriate authority.
4. Information and third-party services
Website descriptions, help articles and troubleshooting information provide general guidance. We aim to keep them useful, but they may contain errors or become outdated as the service changes. Check important settings and outcomes rather than relying only on an example or help article.
Links to external websites and optional services, including Google sign-in, may be subject to those providers' own terms and privacy notices. An external link does not by itself imply endorsement or a guarantee about that provider's content or availability.
5. Security and your account
Protect your passwords, verification codes, recovery links and router credentials. Use supported software and report suspected unauthorised access promptly. Security measures reduce risk, but no internet service can guarantee complete protection against every incident.
6. Rights and responsibility
Nothing in this disclaimer is intended to exclude or restrict a consumer right, statutory guarantee, duty or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. Any permitted limitation of liability must be consistent with the law that applies to your use of the service.
[LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED: confirm applicable jurisdiction and whether separate service terms, warranties or a specific liability clause are needed. Do not treat this draft as a complete service agreement.]
7. Changes and contact
This disclaimer may be updated as the service develops. The published page will show its latest update date. We will notify existing users of material changes to this disclaimer through an in-app notice, identifying the changes and when they take effect.
